XK300 / CT500
FDA 510(k) cleared. The most robust, versatile and adaptive sensor for heart rate, breathing rate, motion, presence/vacancy and people counting solution with the highest degree of sensitivity. Discretely designed to blend into any interior space. 10M range max with 130° FOV angle. Plug-in power / POE.

CT100
“Under desk” occupancy sensor (L-shape) and short range ceiling mount (puck design) sensor for sensing breathing motion within 2M range with 20° FOV angle. USB-C power or Battery.

XK1 / CT1
“All in one” package consisting of XK300 sensor connected to a power/communication module which can support Wi-Fi, BLE, LPWAN and LTE connection. Plug-in power/POE.

Xandar Kardian’s impulse radio UWB radar technology allows radar signals to sense through any type of clothing, duvets, furniture and even drywalls/ceiling tiles as if it wasn’t even there. Ultimate reliability in sensing without “conditions”.

“Signals” are unaffected by how bright or dark the environment is. Direct sunlight? No problem. Complete darkness? Unaffected. Unlike other RSS signals and even FMCW radar signals, it is also very effective (no signal loss) against environmental factors such as humidity and temperature. This provides reliable coverage up to 10M (33ft) at a 130° FOV angle. Best of all it is not restricted to ceiling mount installations, making it truly versatile.

Xandar Kardian sensors run all of its’ radar signal algorithms on board an Arm Cortex M7 MCU chip. This enables the sensors to be completely off grid (on-premise sensing) and even allow for LPWAN (Lorawan/Mioty) network connectivity which is the most cost-effective method of deploying large-scale IOT sensors across multiple buildings. POE? Wi-Fi? LTE-M? NB-IOT? No problem, whatever your building has, rest assured, Xandar Kardian sensors will work on it.

One of the benefits of Xandar Kardian sensors is that it can also provide 99.9% accurate presence/vacancy detection in real-time to enable building control automation to reduce energy consumption. *Xandar Kardian’s CT100 sensors have the option of being battery powered with a CR2477 coincell battery. However, this option is only available for bathrooms where it may not be possible to bring hard-wire power source in the ceiling. All other applications are wired.

As IOT sensors gain more momentum, the debate over battery powered sensors and wired sensors are brewing. At first glance, battery (wireless) solutions may look attractive as it is easy to install and deploy. However, it is not “maintenance free”. Battery sensors all have different life spans based on usage. Some may last 15 months while some may need replacement in 12 months. Aside from incurring labour costs, there is a bigger problem with data loss. You are faced with “data holes” in your space utilization analytics. Another potential issue is in the increase of waste from having to replace alkaline batteries. Some sensors have to have 6 X AA batteries in the sensor.
